She enjoyed crafts, baking and playing cards. But most of all, next to her family, was the love of her precious pets, Cindy, Prince and Laddie. She is survived by her loving husband of 52 years, Donald “Don”, Harrigan Cove; beloved mother of sons, Donald “Donnie” (Susan), Lake Echo; David (Janice), Sheet Harbour; Dana (Danita), Marie Joseph; daughter, Donna (Victor) Rhyno, Harrigan Cove; nine grandchildren; one great-grandchild; sisters, Jackie (Clayton) Pye, Marie Joseph, Bertha (Bev Gelling), Truro; Rose (Ernie Benjamin), Dartmouth; brothers, George (Audrey) and Bruce (Marina), both of Moosehead; Laurie (Hazel), Truro; Ira, New Brunswick; Jim, Truro. Anna was born in Harrigan Cove, where she worked in Halifax as a nurse’s aid for many years at St. Vincent’s Guest House. Anna loved to travel the world and had been on many vacations with her daughters. Anna is survived by daughters, Katherine “Kathy” Isnor and Jeanne (Bob) Barrett, both of Halifax; sons, James “Jimmy” (Trudy) Isnor, Halifax; John (Paulette) Isnor, Lower Sackville; nine grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; as well as many cousins. She was predeceased by her husband, James David Isnor; son, Barry (Rosilyn) Isnor; mother, Rose (Moser) McDonald; grandson, James “Little Jimmy” Isnor. Arrangements are under the care of J. Born February 16, 1927, in Harrigan Cove, he was a son of the late George and Maude (MacDonald) MacDonald. Carl worked construction work all his life and the last years he worked with Mosher Limestone as a dynamite operator. He loved gardening and the outdoors. He loved his children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren unconditionally. He also loved his dog, Wishbone. Carl is survived by his loving wife of 55 years, the former Nina Barkhouse; sons, Lennie (Elizabeth), Malay Falls; David (Vickie), Jeffery (Jennifer) and Gregory, all of Watt Section; Roger (Denise), Sheet Harbour; daughters, Debbie, Dartmouth; Ruby (Jimmy) Clattenburg, Porters Lake; Judy (Scott) Gilchrist, Dartmouth; 12 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; brothers, Robert, Spryfield; Eric (Moreen), Dartmouth; sister, Annie Eisan, Eastern Passage. Clarissa loved feeding the deer and pheasants around her home and especially loved her cat Jake. She enjoyed collecting antiques over the years. She was a loving mother and her favourite time of the year was Christmas with her family. She also was an avid quilter and knitter. She was predeceased by her loving husband, Karl and four year old daughter, Laura Audrey; sister, Laura and brothers, Lorne, Clyde and Forrest. She is survived by daughters, Doreen (Patrick) Martin and Sylvia (Sue) Parsons, both of Halifax; son, Lionel (Helen) Berrigan of Necum Teuch; seven grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews. Born in Harrigan Cove, she was a daughter of the late William and Ella (Mosher) MacDonald. She is survived by her husband, Fulton; two daughters, Rose (Mrs. Vernon Morrison), Digby; Peggy (Mrs. Grant Gillis), Harrigan Cove; three sons, Stephen, Sheet Harbour; Robert, Dartmouth; Manley, Rexdale, Ont.; and nine grandchildren. She was predeceased by a daughter, Ruby; three brothers, Frank, Richard and John; six sisters, Ella, Carrie, Stella, Jennie, Beatrice and Aletha. The body has been cremated. He was fondly known as the ice cream man of the Eastern Shore. He was a faithful member of St. Mary’s Anglican Church, Harrigan Cove, where he served as warden and held various other church offices. He was a member of the IOOF Lodge, Encampment 3, and Mystic Lodge. He was a founding member of the MacDonald Credit Union, serving in various positions. He is survived by his wife of 63 years, the former Catherine Snow; daughters, June Jewers, Patricia and husband Ray Naugler, Barbara Henry, all of Halifax; Veronica and husband Ronald Rudolph, Harrigan Cove; son, Donald and wife Nancy, Lower Sackville; 10 grandchildren; three great‑grandchildren; a great‑great‑grandchild. Cremation has taken place. Memorial service will be 2 p.m. Tuesday, December 23, in St. Mary’s Anglican Church, Harrigan Cove, Rev. Brian Hutchins officiating.
